Delete your account and data
CrewCert is operated by SoloFive LLC. Anyone with a CrewCert account can delete it themselves, at any time, from the mobile app or the website. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
In the CrewCert app (iPhone or Android)
- Sign in and open the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm twice. You are signed out on every device.
On the website
- Sign in and go to Settings.
- Under Delete my account, type the confirmation shown (your company name if you are its owner, otherwise your email address) and press Delete my account.
Can't sign in?
Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request came from that address before deleting anything. This also covers an email address that was used to request a sign-in code but never joined a company.
What is deleted
What deleting removes depends on your role in your company's CrewCert account.
If you are the company's owner
- The whole company account: every vendor, certificate of insurance, extracted and reviewed field, project, requirement template, waiver, reminder history, activity log and uploaded document.
- Every stored document file, removed from storage before the records are deleted.
- Everyone's access to that company, and the mobile devices registered for its notifications.
- Your own login (email address and name), unless you also belong to another company.
- Any active subscription is cancelled first; if it cannot be cancelled, nothing is deleted and you can retry.
If you are an admin or member
- Your login: your email address and name.
- Your access to the company, and this device's registration for notifications.
- Any pending sign-in codes or email-change requests for your address.
The company's vendors, certificates and records are not deleted — they belong to the company, and only its owner can delete them.
What is kept, and why
- When an owner deletes a company, we keep a minimal record that the deletion happened: the company name, the date, which plan it was on and whether its subscription was cancelled, how many vendors, certificates and documents were removed, and the account owner's email address stored only as an irreversible digest. It contains none of the vendors' documents or insurance details. It exists so we can show that a deletion request was honoured and billing stopped.
- When an admin or member deletes their login, records they already created for the company — for example a certificate they reviewed, or an entry in the company's activity log — stay with the company, because they are part of the company's compliance history. Your name and email address are removed from them; what remains is an anonymous identifier.
- Our payment processor keeps its own records of past payments where the law requires it.
- Deleted data may remain for a limited period in our infrastructure providers' backup and recovery systems until it is overwritten. It is not restored into CrewCert.
While your account is active
You can delete an individual certificate or document at any time, which removes both the record and the stored file. Stored documents are also destroyed automatically 24 months after the coverage they evidence expires. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
